Colin Trevorrow has signed on to direct the massive sequel Jurassic Park IV for Universal Pictures. Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver are writing the script,Frank Marshall is producing alongside Patrick Crowley, with original Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg serving as an executive producer. The sequel will also be shot in 3D.The original Jurassic Park will be re-released in theaters with an all new 3D conversion on April 5.Jurassic Park IV comes to theaters June 13th, 2014.

Columbia Pictures released ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2‘ official synopsis. Marc Webb is directing the ‘The Amazing Spider-Man‘ sequel and screenplay penned by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci & Jeff Pinkner. Produced by Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach. Spider-Man 2 is based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee, Steve Ditko.

“In ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2,’ for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy- between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.”

The film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, and Sally Field. The Spider-Man Sequel officially started production recently in New York. ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2‘ is set to hit in 3D theaters on May 2nd, 2014.

Pitch Perfect Director Teaming With Tina Fey

Pitch Perfect director, Jason Moore is teaming with Tina Fey to direct a comedy film, The Nest. Tina Fey will produce the film through her Little Stranger Inc. banner. Fey may play one of the sisters and other one is not yet announced. Jason Moore will direct the film from the Paula Pell script.

The Nest story is about ”two sisters around thirty, who come to their childhood house, as their learn that the house has been kept for sale. They decide to spend one last weekend together, fighting and bonding in this late age tale.”

Marc Webb has announced through his twitter that, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2‘ first day production has officially started and also posted a picture to mark the occasion. Marc Webb directs the series from script c0-penned by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

The Amazing Spider-Man sequel star cast include Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborne, Jamie Foxx as Electro and Paul Giamatti as The Rhino, Sally Field and Martin Sheen reprise as Aunt May & Uncle Ben respectively. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be released by Columbia Pictures on May 2nd, 2014.

Recently one cine gossip is that Vijay is looking for well known actors from Hollywood for a guest role in this movie, namely Angelina Jolie and Jennifer lopez.But Vijaya denied that rumour and he said ” There is no international actors featuring in the film. ADG Awards announced the 17th Annual Art Directors Guild Awards on Feb. 2nd at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Anna Karenina, Life of Pi and Skyfall won big at 2013 Art Directors Guild Awards. Anna Karenina won best production design award for Sarah Greenwood in period film. Life of Pi got in fantasy film category. Skyfall won in contemporary film category and also Cinematic Imagery Award. Star Trek Into Darkness to Hit IMAX 3D Theaters

Paramount Pictures’ announced that ‘Star Trek Into Darkness‘ is set to hit 3D Imax theaters on May 15th, early two days of world wide release. Star Trek sequel is directed by J.J. Abrams and penned by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof. Produced by Abrams along with Bryan Burk through Bad Robot Productions. The film stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Alice Eve.

Greg Foster, president of Imax Entertainment, “As we saw with the reaction to the first nine minutes of the film, which debuted in our theaters in December, fans are clearly excited by the opportunity to see this epic film come to life in Imax.” Star Trek Into Darkness will open in theaters worldwide on May 17th, 2013.

Emily VanCamp to Star in Captain America 2 Movie

Revenge star, Emily VanCamp is in talks to star in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘. VanCamp is set to play a role, Sharon Carter, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and a love interest for Captain America. Carter is the niece of the Peggy Carter from Captain America: The First Avenger.

Captain America sequel is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus penned the script. Chris Evans reprise his role Captain America and other star cast include Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Cobie Smulders, Toby Jones, Scarlett Johansson, and Samuel L. Jackson. Marvel’s Captain America 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on April 14th, 2014.

Johnny Depp joins Whitey Bulger Biopic, ‘Black Mass’. The crime thriller will be directed by Oscar winner, Barry Levinson (Rain Man and Bugsy). Johnny Depp plays James Joseph “Whitey” Bulger in the film.

Bulger was an crime figure from Boston known as a Robin Hood character. He masterminded a protection racket and targeted drug kingpins and illegal gambling operations. While he was beloved by many, he was indicted for 19 murders. Bulger was an informant for the FBI, exchanging information on other crime families for the protection of his own crime family. He ran for 16 years and finally arrested in 2011. He was the FBI Ten Most Wanted list.

Disney‘s Wreck-It Ralph Wins Big at Annie Awards

Disney‘s, ‘Wreck-It Ralph‘ wins five trophies at 40th Annual Annie Awards. The animated film, took best animated film, best director for Rich Moore, best screenplay for Phil Johnston & Jennifer Lee, best music and best voice acting for Alan Tudyk.

While other animated films, ‘Brave,’ ‘ParaNorman,’ and ‘Rise of the Guardians‘ won two trophies each. Wreck-It Ralph, Brave and ParaNorman are also nominated for Oscars. Annie Awards 2013 was held at UCLA’s Royce Hall. Checkout the complete list of winners below:

Julia Garner (The Perks Of Being A Wallflower) joined Frank Miller‘s graphic novel adaptation, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Garner will play alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Johnny in Sin City 2. The film directed by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez.

The Sin City sequel cast includes Eva Green, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Dennis Haysbert, Jamie Chung, Chris Meloni, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, and Jeremy Piven. The filming is in progress in Austin at Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios. The ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For‘ is scheduled to hit theaters on October 4th, 2013.

Ridley Scott And 20th Century Fox Plans 'Mind MGMT'

20th Century Fox is planning the dark horse comic book series, ‘Mind MGMT‘ written by legend Matt Kindt. Ridley Scott is producing the film through his Fox banner along with Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg of Dark Horse Entertainment. The screenplay writer has yet to be hired.

The Mind MGMT story focus on a “secret government agency that wrangles psychic spies. But they hit trouble when their top asset, Henry Lime, has a nervous breakdown and loses control of his powerful abilities.Cue chaos as he causes the populace of one town to kill one another, and then goes on the run. Fast-forward to a few years later and true-crime author Meru is digging into the case for her own reasons. She’s on board an aircraft when every passenger spontaneously develops amnesia and ends up crossing paths with Lime as he saves her life. Delving deeper into the agency, she finds she has a secret connection to the place.”



Eva Green as Ava Lord in The Movie Sin City: A Dame To Kill For

Eva Green plays Ava lord in most anticipated sequel, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. Sin City Sequeldirected by Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller from Miller’s graphic novel. The film produced by Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios.

Miller describes, “Ava as every man’s most glorious dreams come true, she’s also every man’s darkest nightmares.”

The directors says, “Ava Lord is one of the most deadly and fascinating residents of Sin City. From the start, we knew that the actor would need to be able to embody the multifaceted characteristics of this femme fatale and we found that in Eva Green. We are ecstatic that Eva is joining us.”

The Sin City 2 stars Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Jamie Chung, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple and Julia Garner. Eva Green will appear in upcoming sequel, “300: Rise of an Empire“. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is in production and opens in theaters on Oct. 14th, 2013.
